🕵️‍♂️ How to Check If You're Using IMAP or Exchange

If you're unsure whether your email account in Mailbird Next is using IMAP or Exchange, you can quickly find out by following these simple steps.

🛠️ Steps to Identify Your Email Protocol

  1. Open Mailbird Next.

  2. Click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the lower-left corner.

  3. Select the Accounts tab at the top.

  4. In the left column, click on the account you'd like to check.

  5. On the right, go to the Settings tab.

  6. Now check the following:

    • If you see Port 143 or Port 993, the account is using IMAP.

    • If no port number is listed but a Server URL appears, the account is using Exchange.

💡 NB: Please note that POP3 email accounts are currently not supported by Mailbird Next.
