π About Append Mode
Append mode is used with Mailbird Next snippets that include saved recipients. It tells Mailbird to add the snippet recipients to the email you are already composing, instead of replacing the recipients that are already there.
This is useful when you often send the same saved response to a standard contact, team member, or support address, but still want to keep any recipients you have already added to the message.
βοΈ How to Set a Snippet to Append Recipients
- Open Settings in Mailbird Next.
- Select Snippets from the left-hand menu.
- Select an existing snippet, or click Add snippet to create a new one.
- Add the required email address in the Recipients field.
- Click Change mode next to the recipient options.
- Select Append.
β What Append Does
When you insert the snippet into an email, Mailbird Next keeps any recipients already added to the message and then adds the recipients saved in the snippet.
For example, if your draft already has one recipient and the snippet includes another recipient, using Append will keep both recipients in the email.
π Append vs Override
- Append adds the snippet recipients to the existing recipients in the email.
- Override replaces the existing recipients with the recipients saved in the snippet.
