The Unsubscribe button in Mailbird Next helps you leave newsletters and marketing mailing lists directly from the email view, when the sender provides a supported unsubscribe link.
📩 What the Unsubscribe button does
- Can detect unsubscribe links in more forwarded newsletters in newer Mailbird Next versions.
- Looks for unsubscribe information included in supported newsletter and marketing emails.
- Opens or follows the unsubscribe option provided by the sender.
🧭 How to use it
- Open the newsletter or marketing email you no longer want to receive.
- Look for the Unsubscribe button or unsubscribe option in the message toolbar at the top.
- Click the button and follow any confirmation steps from the sender or provider.
⚠️ Limitations
- The button only appears when Mailbird Next can detect unsubscribe information in the email.
- Some senders do not include a valid unsubscribe header or link.
- Mailbird Next cannot guarantee that a sender will honor the unsubscribe request immediately.
- Unsubscribing is different from blocking a sender. Use Block Sender if you want to stop messages from a sender from reaching your inbox where supported.
- For suspicious or phishing emails, avoid clicking links inside the message. Mark the email as spam or junk through your provider if needed.
If the feature does not behave as expected, please contact the Customer Happiness Team. Include your Mailbird Next version, operating system, affected account type, and what you expected to happen. Include a copy of the message headers or a screenshot if the button is missing from a newsletter where you expected it.
