The Mailbird Next composer includes formatting tools that help you write richer emails, from inline images and links to fonts, lists, emojis, and pasted HTML content.
✍️ What you can do in the composer
- Choose a composing font in versions that include font selection.
- Insert emojis using Mailbird’s built-in emoji picker or the native emoji shortcut where supported.
- Add and resize inline images by dragging and dropping them into your message.
- Add, edit, and remove links in your message text.
- Paste as HTML to preserve rich formatting in the composer, signatures, and snippets.
- Use automatic bulleted and numbered lists by typing naturally in supported versions.
- Use multi-language spell check where available to compose in more than one language.
🧭 Basic workflow
- Open a new compose window or reply.
- Use the composer toolbar or keyboard shortcuts for formatting actions.
- Preview the message before sending, especially if it includes copied formatting, images, or links.
- Send a test message to yourself if the formatting is important.
⚠️ Limitations
- HTML email rendering varies by recipient app. A message can look different in Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, or mobile clients.
- Pasted HTML can bring hidden formatting from the source. If the message looks wrong, paste as plain text or clear formatting before reapplying styles.
- Inline images can increase message size and may be hidden by recipients until they load images.
- Spell-check availability depends on the languages and dictionaries supported by your device and Mailbird Next version.
