Send Later lets you schedule an email to be sent at a later date and time, so you can write a message now and have Mailbird Next send it when the timing is right.
⚠️ Important: Mailbird Next must be online and able to connect to your mail account when the scheduled send time arrives.
⏰ What Send Later does
- Schedules a composed email for a specific future time.
- Keeps the message in Mailbird Next until it is time to send.
- Works best when Mailbird Next is open, online, and the sending account is authenticated.
🧭 How to schedule a message
- Compose your email as usual.
- Choose the Send Later option in the compose window if it is available in your version.
- Select the date and time you want the email to send.
- Confirm the schedule.
⚠️ Limitations
- Scheduled sending depends on Mailbird Next being online at the scheduled time.
- If your account needs re-authentication, the message may not send until the account connection is fixed.
- Provider-side limits, SMTP errors, attachment problems, or network issues can still prevent the message from sending.
- Changing time zones, sleep mode, or closing Mailbird Next may affect when the message is sent.
- Send Later is not the same as Undo Send. Undo Send delays a message briefly after you click Send; Send Later schedules it for a specific future time.
If the feature does not behave as expected, please contact the Customer Happiness Team. Include your Mailbird Next version, operating system, affected account type, and what you expected to happen. If possible, please also include the scheduled time, account provider, and whether Mailbird Next was open and connected when the message should have sent.
