π¬ How to Create Filters in Mailbird Next
In Mailbird Next, filters (sometimes referred to as 'rules' elsewhere) allow you to automatically manage incoming emails based on defined conditions. By applying actions such as marking messages as read, skipping the Inbox, or redirecting emails, you can keep your mailbox organized and focused.
This article explains how to access, create, and manage filters in Mailbird Next, as well as the conditions and actions currently supported.

To β applies the filter when the message is sent to a specific recipient
Contains β triggers the filter when specific text appears in the subject or message body
Has Attachment β applies the filter to emails that include attachments
β οΈ Note: Conditions can be combined to create more targeted and precise filters.
π οΈ Available Filter Actions
When a message matches a filterβs conditions, Mailbird Next can automatically perform one or more of the following actions:
Skip Inbox (Mark Done) β removes the email from the Inbox and marks it as done
Mark as Starred β flags the message with a star
Mark as Important β marks the email as important
Mark as Read β automatically marks the message as read
Mark as Spam β moves the email to the Spam folder
Delete β move the email to the Trash folder
Redirect To β forwards the email to another email address
β οΈ Note: Multiple actions may be applied within the same filter.
𧩠Common Filter Examples
Filters can be used in a variety of everyday workflows. Here are some great examples:
Automatically mark newsletters as read using the From or Contains condition.
Redirect invoices that contain specific keywords to another email address.
Skip the Inbox for automated notifications with attachments.
Mark important emails from specific senders as starred or important.
β Best Practices for Using Filters
To ensure filters work as expected, use clear and descriptive names, avoid overlapping filters that may conflict with each other, and review your filters periodically to keep them aligned with your current workflow.
Existing filters can be managed at any time from the Filters section in Settings. Select a filter to update its conditions or actions, or simply delete it. Any changes made are applied immediately to new incoming emails.
