Mailbird Next offers a streamlined process for adding Gmail email accounts, making setup fast and easy. In just a few simple steps, you’ll be ready to manage your Gmail directly from Mailbird Next.

🔧 How to Connect Your Gmail Account
Follow these steps to connect your Gmail account in Mailbird Next:

Click the ⚙️ Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of Mailbird.

At the top of the window, click the Accounts tab.

Click Add account.

From the list of account types, select Gmail.
🌐 Sign into Your Gmail Account
Once you've selected Gmail:

A browser window will open, taking you to the Gmail login page.

If you're already signed in, select your account.

Otherwise, click Use another account to enter your Gmail credentials.
🔒 Grant Permissions to Mailbird
It's extremely important that you grant Mailbird the necessary permissions to access your Gmail inbox. After signing in:

Enter your password and complete any verification steps (e.g., two-factor authentication).

On the permissions screen, make sure all checkboxes are selected so Mailbird can access your emails, contacts, and calendars.

Click Continue.
⚠️ Important: If you don’t check all the fields, Mailbird will not be able to fully manage your Gmail account.
✅ Confirmation and Completion
You’ll now see a confirmation screen — that means setup is complete!
Your Gmail account is now connected to Mailbird Next, and you're ready to manage your inbox, send emails, and sync your calendar and contacts. All that's left is to choose an appropriate avatar in Mailbird for your Gmail email account.
