Mailbird Next offers a streamlined process for adding Yahoo email accounts, designed to get you up and running in no time at all.
In this short guide, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to connect your Yahoo email account to Mailbird Next.
📧 How to Connect Your Yahoo Email Account
Follow the steps below to connect your Yahoo email account:

Click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of Mailbird Next.

Click the Accounts icon at the top.

Select the Add account button.

Choose Yahoo from the list of available account types.
🔐 Logging into Yahoo
Once you've selected Yahoo:

A Yahoo login page will open in your browser.

Enter your Yahoo email address and click Next.

Type in your password and click Next again.
🔒 Grant Permissions to Mailbird
It's extremely important that you grant Mailbird Next the necessary permissions to access your Yahoo inbox. Therefore, after you've entered your password, please make sure that you click on 'Agree' when prompted.
⚠️ Important: The permissions should appear identical to the image above. If you don’t click on Agree, Mailbird will not be able to fully manage your Yahoo account. You will not be able to send or receive emails, manage your contacts or your calendar.
✅ Confirmation and Completion
You’ll now see a confirmation screen — that means that the setup is complete!
Your Yahoo account is now connected to Mailbird Next, and you're ready to manage your inbox, send emails, and sync your calendar and contacts. All that's left is to choose an appropriate avatar in Mailbird for your Yahoo email account.
