✉️ Mailbird Next and Exchange Email Accounts

Mailbird Next doesn’t just support IMAP: it also works seamlessly with Exchange email accounts. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to connect your Exchange account to Mailbird Next in just a few steps.

🔧 Connecting Your Exchange Email Account

Follow these steps to easily connect your Exchange account:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of Mailbird Next.

  2. Click the Accounts icon at the top.

  3. Select the Add account button.

  4. Choose Microsoft 365 from the list of account types.

💡 Note: by default, when selecting Microsoft 365 email accounts, these will be added as Exchange accounts, because Microsoft disables IMAP/SMTP for security reasons. This is entirely beyond our control, and you can find our more about this here.

🌐 Sign in to Your Exchange Account

Once you've selected Microsoft 365:

  • A browser window will open, taking you to the Microsoft's login page.

  • If you're already signed in, simply select your account.

  • Alternatively, click Use another account to enter your Exchange email address.

🔐 Provide Your Password

Next you'll need to:

  • Enter the password for your Exchange account.

  • Click Continue once you’ve done that.

✅ All Set!

If you have entered your credentials correctly, then your Microsoft Exchange account should now be successfully connected to Mailbird Next, and you should see the page below which confirms this. You will then be asked to choose an avatar for your Exchange email account.
