☁️ Adding Your iCloud Email Account to Mailbird Next
Mailbird Next offers a dedicated and streamlined process for adding iCloud email accounts. We've made it as simple as possible, so you'll be up and running in just a few minutes!
In this quick guide, we'll walk you through each step to help you connect your iCloud email to Mailbird Next.
🔧 How to Connect Your iCloud Email Account
Follow these steps to add your iCloud email to Mailbird Next:

Open Mailbird Next and click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner.

Select the Accounts tab at the top.

Click Add Account.

Choose iCloud from the list of account types.
📝 Enter Your Account Details

Enter your name (this will be visible to your email recipients).

Enter your iCloud email address.

Click Continue.
🔐 Use an App-Specific Password
For security reasons, Apple requires an App-specific password when connecting your iCloud email to third-party apps such as Mailbird. If you already have one, go ahead and enter it now. If not, here’s how to generate it:

Click the Generate button when prompted.

You’ll be redirected to the Apple ID website.

Sign in and follow the steps to create a new App-specific password.

Copy the password, as you’ll need it in just a moment.
- Head back to Mailbird, and paste your App-specific password into the field.
🧩 Using an Alias or Custom Domain?
If your iCloud account uses an alias or custom email domain, a few extra steps are required:

After entering your App-specific password, click Edit server settings.

Under both Incoming and Outgoing server details, update the Username field:

Use either your Apple ID (found in macOS settings)

Or your primary iCloud email address (check under Preferences at icloud.com/mail)

Click Continue to finish setup
