While rare, the Internal Database Error in Mailbird Next can be frustrating. This issue is often caused by a minor hard disk problem or a local system error, but the exact cause can vary from device to device. Although Mailbird is displaying the error message, the problem is not actually rooted in Mailbird Next.

🛠️ How to Fix the Error
To resolve the issue, you’ll need to delete a specific folder named Release. This will disconnect your email accounts in Mailbird Next, so you’ll need to re-add them afterward. Here's how you do this.
📋 Step-by-Step Instructions
- 🔒 Close Mailbird Next
Ensure that the app is not running. Exit it completely before proceeding. - 🔍 Open Finder
Right-click on the Finder icon and select Go to Folder. - 📂 Go to the Mailbird data folder
Paste the following path into the field and press Enter:~/.local/share/MailbirdNext/ - 🗑 Delete the ‘Release’ folder
In the new Finder window, locate the Release folder and delete it. - 🔄 Restart Mailbird Next
Open Mailbird Next again. You’ll now need to re-add your email accounts.
