✉️ Overview
Undo Send in Mailbird Next gives you a short window to cancel an email immediately after clicking Send. This is useful if you spot a typo, forgot an attachment, chose the wrong recipient, or simply change your mind at the last second.
Undo Send works by delaying the actual send for the amount of time you choose. Once that delay expires, the email is sent normally and cannot be recalled through Undo Send.
⚙️ How to Configure Undo Send
Follow these steps to adjust the Undo Send delay:
- Open the Settings menu in Mailbird Next (i.e. the gear icon)
- Select Advanced from the left sidebar.
- Go to the Sending section.
- Use the Undo send period slider to choose how long Mailbird Next should wait before sending your message.
This setting determines how long the Undo option remains available after you send an email, as shown below.
↩️ How to Undo a Sent Email
After sending an email, Mailbird Next shows an Undo option for the duration of your selected Undo Send period.
- Click Undo before the timer expires to cancel sending.
- If the timer expires, Mailbird Next will send the email normally.
📄 What Happens After You Click Undo
When you undo a send:
- The email is not delivered to the recipient.
- The message is returned so you can review and edit it.
- You can send it again when you are ready.
⏱️ Important Notes
- Undo Send is only available during the delay period you selected.
- Once the message has been sent, Undo Send cannot retrieve it from the recipient's mailbox.
- If you find yourself making last-second changes quite often, choose a longer Undo Send period.
- The email will sit in your Drafts folder until it is sent.
