πŸ“¬ Overview

Mailbird Next fully supports email aliases, allowing you to manage multiple alias addresses under a single primary account. This is especially useful in business environments where team members may use alias addresses to route messages into a shared inbox.

❓ What Is an Email Alias?

An email alias is a forwarding address that redirects incoming messages to your primary email account. Here are the key points to keep in mind:

  • Aliases often appear as standalone addresses (e.g., support@company.com) but forward emails to another account (e.g., team@company.com).

  • Although emails are delivered to the primary inbox, each alias maintains its own identity and send-from address.

  • Aliases use the same account settings and contact list as the primary account.

βž• How to Add an Alias in Mailbird Next

Follow these simple steps to access the alias management section in Mailbird Next:

  • Click the Settings (gear) icon in the bottom-left corner of Mailbird.

  • Go to the Accounts tab.

  • Select the Alias sub-tab (as highlighted in the screenshot below).

πŸ“ Adding an Alias

Once you're in the Alias tab:

  • In the left-hand column, select the primary account you'd like to link the alias to.

  • Click Add alias.

  • Enter the alias details (e.g., alias name, email address, and reply-to settings).

  • Click Save to apply your changes.

πŸ’‘ Always remember to hit Save once you have entered all of your alias information so that it is stored.
