This article will walk you through the simple and secure process of upgrading to a Premium plan directly within the Mailbird app on your Mac following the end of your trial. 

Whether you prefer a yearly subscription or a one-time payment, the steps below will help you complete your purchase quickly and easily.

🚀 Step 1 – Start the Process

  1. When your 7-day free trial ends, a window will appear highlighting our Premium features.

  2. Click the Purchase button located in the bottom-right corner of the window to start the upgrade process.

💳 Step 2 – Choose Your Preferred Plan

You will be directed to the Mailbird Store, where you can select the plan that best fits your needs:

  • Premium – Yearly Plan: A subscription billed annually.

  • Premium – One-Time: A lifetime license with a single payment.

Click on the price button of your preferred plan to continue.

🔑 Step 3 – Sign In with Your Apple ID

To process the in-app purchase securely:

  1. Enter the email address or phone number linked to your Apple ID.

  2. Click Sign In to proceed.

This ensures your payment is handled safely through Apple’s App Store.

🛡️ Step 4 – Verify Your Identity

Apple uses two-factor authentication to protect your account.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity using another Apple device or your registered phone number.

  • Click Continue to move to the next step.

✅ Step 5 – Confirm Your Purchase

A final confirmation window will display:

  • The plan you selected

  • The total cost

  • The Apple ID being used for the purchase

Review the details carefully, then click Purchase to complete the transaction.

 

🎉 Step 6 – Complete Activation

  • Once the payment is processed, you will see the message: “Your purchase was successful.” Click OK.

  • Mailbird will immediately confirm with: “Your premium license has been successfully activated.” Click OK again.

You’re all set! Your Mailbird Premium license is now active, and you can enjoy all advanced features without interruption.
