Mailbird Next is available for both Windows and macOS. Use this guide to choose the right installer and get Mailbird Next running in just a few minutes.
β Before You Begin
Before installing Mailbird Next, make sure your device meets these requirements:
- Windows: Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
- macOS: macOS Ventura 13 or later.
- Internet connection: Required during download, installation, sign-in, and account setup.
If you are not sure which version to download, start from the official Mailbird download page and let it detect your operating system automatically.

πͺ Installing Mailbird Next on Windows
You can install Mailbird Next on Windows either from the Mailbird website or from the Microsoft Store.
Option 1: Install from the Mailbird Website
- Open the Mailbird download page.
- Click Download for Windows.
- When the download finishes, open the installer from your Downloads folder. The file is usually named
MailbirdNextSetup.exe. - If Windows shows a User Account Control prompt, click Yes.
- Follow the on-screen installation steps. The default settings are suitable for most users.
- When installation is complete, click Finish to open Mailbird Next.
Option 2: Install from the Microsoft Store
If you prefer using the Microsoft Store, open the Mailbird Next listing and install it from there:

π Installing Mailbird Next on macOS
There are two ways to install Mailbird Next on macOS:
- Apple App Store: Updates and billing are handled through Apple.
- Mailbird website: Updates and licensing are handled directly through Mailbird.
Both versions include the same core Mailbird Next experience. Choose the version that best matches how you prefer to manage apps and purchases.
Option 1: Install from the Apple App Store
- Open the App Store on your Mac, or use the direct App Store link below.
- Search for Mailbird - The Email App.
- Click Get, then Install.
- Confirm with your Apple ID, Touch ID, or password if prompted.
- Once the download is complete, click Open.

Option 2: Install from the Mailbird Website
- Open the Mailbird download page.
- Click Download for Mac. A
.dmgfile will be saved to your Downloads folder. - Double-click the
.dmgfile to open it. - Drag the Mailbird Next icon into the Applications folder.
- Open your Applications folder and double-click Mailbird Next.
- The first time you open the app, macOS may ask you to confirm that you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Click Open.
